Parlodel is a medication that is used to treat women who are suffering from hyperprolactinemia (high prolactin levels). Prolactin is a hormone that is secreted by your pituitary gland and causes women to produce breast milk when they are pregnant and breastfeeding. However, when these levels are too high in women trying to get pregnant, it can contribute to infertility since your body's hormone levels suggest you're pregnant and your reproductive system won't let you get pregnant if it thinks you already are. Parlodel will help to lower the levels of prolactin which could be a contributing factor to infertility.
